6/2/2006: WESTEC Introduces TUFF-GUARD Liners
2 June 2006 (St. Louis, MO) - Westec has introduced the Tuff-Guard family of liner products for secondary chemical containment. Westec has been a leading producer of products for the secondary containment market for 20 years and is well known for a line of thermoplastic elastomeric rubber (TPER) waterstops. TPER has unsurpassed performance in secondary applications for many chemicals and was an ideal choice of material for the Tuff-Guard Liner System. Recent installations include containment of 98% sulfuric acid, diesel fuel, industrial wastewater effluent, and industrial solvents. Common applications that require containment liner membranes include bulk storage areas, fuel loading/unloading pads, process areas, and trench/sump pits.
Tuff-Guard containment liner membranes are available as “loose-laid” or “fully-adhered” systems, along with the necessary components required for installation, such as termination bars, anchor bolts, and prefabricated corners are provided. Tuff-Guard liners are offered in 60, 80 and 100mil thicknesses to meet the needs of most membrane applications. Westec engineers are ready to assist with the specification and detailing of Tuff-Guard liner systems for virtually any project application, from simple sump pits to large process areas or tank farms. Let Westec assist with your next chemical containment application!
